Nkechi Nwaogu: Bola Tinubu is incoming Nigerian president

Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, a former member of the Nigerian Senate and the coordinator for the Tinubu Shettima Women Presidential Campaign Council in Abia, has declared Bola Tinubu to be the country's next president.

Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, a former member of the Nigerian Senate and the coordinator for the Tinubu Shettima Women Presidential Campaign Council in Abia, has declared Bola Tinubu to be the country’s next president.

On Thursday, at the inauguration of the Tinubu-Shettima Women Presidential Campaign Council in Abia State, she made this declaration.

Nwaogu called on female voters to support the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Tinubu, in the upcoming election. Nwaogu is the former Pro-chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Calabar in Cross River State.

“Political party without structure can never win an election, and this is a plus to Tinubu-Shettima Presidential joint ticket.

“The major reason the Presidential Candidate of the APC is being criticised unjustly is that he is the candidate to beat,” she said.

Senator Nwaogu, although praising the ex-governor of Lagos, argued that Tinubu is not as nepotistic as is commonly believed. He cited Tinubu’s appointment of representatives from various ethnic groups in his administration during his time as governor.
